Unit 1 - Financial Accounting.

Deals with recording, summarizing, and communicating economic events of entities based on established principles, standards, and legislation. The study of Financial Accounting will provide individuals with some of the prerequisites needed for careers in public accounting. In addition, the study of Financial Accounting will assist individuals in their roles as customers, employees or potential investors to evaluate the performance of businesses using published financial statements and other accounting information.


Unit 2 - Cost and Management Accounting

 

Will develop in individuals the appropriate attitudes in planning, controlling, and decision making which are critical skills needed to effectively manage businesses in a dynamic environment. This branch of accounting draws on information from the accounting system as well as methods and techniques used in other disciplines to provide individuals with a set of tools which can be used not only in businesses but also in their personal lives
